Amazon is being sued after raising Prime Video prices

Recently, Amozon announced that users of Prime Video could opt into paying an extra $2.99 a month to stream Prime Video content without ads.

If you opted out, you would have to watch ads even if you already paid for Amazon Prime.

A new lawsuit against Amazon says it's deceptive to charge an extra $2.99 after advertising Prime was 'commercial free' for years.

They're basically saying that “Subscribers must now pay extra to get something they already paid for"

The class action lawsuit, filed in California, claims this is an unfair practice and harms both consumers of the streaming service as well as other streaming platforms.
