COVID-19 Vaccinations Will Be Sent Out Today, First Dosage Possibly Given

And so, it begins...

The first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were released by Pfizer's plant on Sunday to be delivered to hospitals and health departments around the country.

Plans by the CDC have health care professionals and long-term care facility residents receiving the vaccine first. Eventually, it will be made available to the general public, but the CDC on Sunday said the vaccine is only recommended for people 16 and older.

According to Army General Gustave Perna of Operation Warp Speed, many of the sites will have received the vaccines by now, and the first vaccines were expected to be given that day.
