Oscars '20 Recap: Eminem Performs, Billie Eilish Cringes, 'Parasite' Sweeps

In case you missed it, the Oscars 2020 was full of fun and surprises, as well as important rhetoric and memorable moments.

The award show went “hostless” this year, which turned out to be kind of a great thing! We got so many different personalities on stage— Janelle Monae and Billy Porter opened up the ceremony with a number:

Janelle and Billy weren’t the only ones singing last night; during a category presentation, Bridesmaids actresses Maya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig marked their presence on The Academy’s stage! Check out Billie Eilish’s reaction to seeing herself on the big screen:

Speaking of Billie Eilish, she and her brother Finneas performed during the In Memoriam.

Another memorable performance was Eminem’s! He rapped “Lose Yourself” from the classic 8 Mile.

Some important topics were touched on as well, such as when Steve Martin and Chris Rock touches on “Oscars-so-white” lack of diversity and when Joaquin Phoenix spoke on animal cruelty during his acceptance:
